i ordered turbo legacy injectors because i believed that they would fit my stock fuel rails on my engine build (2.2 na 11-1 cr, ported and polished, torque cam, etc) but they dont fit!

what kind of upgraded injector can i use for my ea22 engine build? i would replace the fuel rails with turbo legacy fuel rails, but i dont know if they will bolt up either... i am starting to think that the intake manifold is too different for this apporoach.

all i need now is injectors, please help!

originally i wanted to go with wrx injectors but i was told they were a totally different style than my stock injectors... this is my first attempt at an engine build, so i dont have much to go on...

i paid about 350 for a set of new turbo legacy injectors because i thought they were the only option that would fit my fuel rails... i wanted to use wrx injectors but was told they wouldnt fit i would much rather have a set of wrx 440cc injectors <used> for around 100 bucks than the 270cc turbo legacy injectors for 350 bucks<new>...

i am going to post some pics with my housmates digital camera so that everyone can see what it is exactly that i need...

these are the injectors in question. what i need to know what i should do now. i have an upgraded injector that wont fit my stock fuel rails.

will turbo legacy fuel rails bolt up to my intake manifold? i dont think making or buying custom fuel rials is within my means...

i basically need a high flow injector that will fit my fuel rails, or a fuel rail that will fit these injectors... what i would really like to do is if these new turbo legacy injectors dont fit then i want to use wrx injectors... that is as long as i am swapping injectors...

any ideas?




as you can see the difference is where the injector sticks out of the fuel rail and into the manifold... the stock legacy injector has a much smaller sealing o-ring than the turbo legacy...

 

i would like to replace my fuel rails with wrx rails and injectors...

does anyone know what the differences in how the fuel rails mount to the intake manifold are between the wrx and the non-turbo subarus??

im running out of ideas...
