I have an STI 20mm rsb on mine. But it only fits on the outside of the endlinks, whereas 'normal' fitment is on the inside of the endlinks.
rear sway bar should be the first thing to replace. Our rear sways are a dinky 13mm.
So far, the handling is "Decent" compared to stock. Less understeer.
I plan on getting new sways bars anways.
I'd suggest 22-24mm adjustable front and rear sways.
Or just 24mm front, and 22-24 adjustable rear.
24mm is the most I would go.
And, it's not necessary to uprade the front endlinks, but the rear endlinks is a must, if you're going over 20mm on the rears.

i personally got the Cobb adjustable bar, its the same for the wrx 07 just not the sti. Very nice difference in handling but i agree with J-chow get the endlinks for the rear. i picked up some Kartboy ones front and read set for a bit over 150.0
