Im gonna sound like a complete "noob" here but I'm currently selling a my vw golf so i can get a newer faster car. Ive been looking at the late 90's 2.5rs's.

Here comes the really "noob" part of this


Some people say they are really nice and quick. Ive seen others say that if you wanna go fast then get something besides a subaru or at least get a wrx/wrx sti. Are the 2.5s accually quick and upgradable or would a different car be more suitable to put into the 13/14's in drag racing as thats the biggest style around where I live

 

I'm fairly new to this as well but I love my scooby, if your looking for something fast as in drag time, you'll deffently want turbo imo, and you want to buy that from the get go, turbo's for scooby's aren't cheap. I feel for you on the drag thing, about all that happens around here that i know as well, but I do love taking it out on country roads, and for that I'd never give up my scooby, but if all your looking for is drag time, you might save alot of money by opting out of the AWD.
