Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

most bang per buck??

most bang per buck??

i picked up a 95 impreza L awd with a 2.2 in it
i will probably end up droping a couple grand on it and i was wondering what mods will make the most diffrence?
thanks to some front end damage i already got rid of the air intake snorkel and opened up the bumper where the fog light would go to let some fresh air in the fender
any ideas

best money spent

Well, I can speak from experience from my 2.2L. I don't care what others say, I didn't notice any difference in performance from a cat-back and K&N panel filter install w/ the snorkelsectomy. If I were you, I would go cams, rear anti-roll bar, and definitely upgrade the stock springs and struts, and sticky tires. I just did these Mods monday with a ECU reset, but maybe (hopefully) I will notice a difference after the computer learns all the new mods slowly.

The 2.2l is a fairly good motor for it's size, but you can't get much out of it with bolt-ons, even cams (if you can find any). Spend your money on suspension, and when you are ready to really go fast, get an EJ20 swap.
