Does this Cat Back system work with a 1995 Subaru Impreza L? The Manufacturer's site says it works with 1995-2001 Subaru RS's. But on ebay.com it's being sold through retailers and showing "all models." What's the truth? Can I purchase it and throw it on my vehicle? Or won't it fit? Also, does anyone happen to have this mod on their vehicle? Thanks...

 

Anything for a GC will fit any other GC, for the most part. Your cat flanges may be different but it's a cheap fix at any shop. If you read more about it you should notice that it uses 3" piping which is far too large for a NA car, even more so if yours is only a 1.8L. I sent them a message and asked if they carry a 2.25" system. They should be back to me within a day or so.

 

Yeah, the only one I've seen that will fit as a bolt on is the Stromung, which is at 57mm or 2.25". They're a little more pricier though than this one. I also sent the manufacturer an email asking for a 57mm downpipe...

 

So megan racing got back to me and said their system is designed just for turbo charged imprezas. He also said you could use this system on a NA car but I don't think it would be very practical at all. I plan on getting a stromung mid pipe and custom axle back. You could get a whole cat back that way for under $400. I recommend a shop making the axle back cause some of the aftermarket ones I've seen seem way too low when it goes under the rear axle and my shop installed one, right now, is a very snug fit, still looks close to stock.
