I was cleaning out my air box MY98 Impreza 2.2L, and now, when I start it, it won't keep running, it just kind of sputters out slowly and then I smell gas.

I tried taking the battery cable off to reset the MAF, but it didn't work.

I also thought that maybe I had put my air box back together wrong, so I did it again and still the same.

ANY IDEAS???

 

Sounds like a faulty MAF sensor.

 

It was fine about 2 hours ago, until I started messing with the air box.

It was the damn vacuum hose, lol, I feel so stupid

 

Nah, you found the vacuum hose yourself and you didn't have to buy a new MAF. No $$$ spent = smart!
