Okay, I have a 98 RS, and am tired of waiting for COBB to decide to release its intake for my MAF car. Has anybody tried the Injen Cold Intake that puts the filter in the fender? I would assume it would measure up pretty well, I just want to hear from some people actually running it, or even better if they have tried to compare them which is of course a long shot. Ive decided after a rather hot summer that I would REALLY like to have something to get my car breathing cold air. Think the insulating wrap will work pretty well on there too... bwahaah....

I have an intake kit on the car, but the car pulls noticeably less during the summer and when the engine is hot. Does okay with the vents open, but in Washington that opportunity doesn't come along all that often.

 

I have a 98 rs, just installed the injen cai and i noticed that it lines up ok, but one of the plastic hoses was a little small and not fit very well, other than that i am very happy.

 

Just remove your intake silencer for now and drop in a panel filter. And use a small piece of abs or pvc piping to bridge the resultant 5mm gap. That'll get your motor breathing cold air along with less intake restriction untill you can save enough money to buy the AEM.
