i own an 01 rs and just wanted to know how many of us out here got turbo swap done in california.

would be cool to know type of year of gc, type of engine, type of tranny, etc., cost, who did the swap, etc.

i would imagine any 02-06 stock wrx swap would pass inspection perfectly, considering they came in JDM cars originally.

 

there's 3 in the Monterey Bay that I know of. 2 2doors and 1 wagon.

 

theres a bunch in cali, check out rs25.com (its mostly east coast, but has a lot of cali guys) I know of 6 or 7 in nor cal that i have seen/meet. go to licmotorsports.com to see a badass black swapped rs.

the swaps are smog legal

 

i have a version 8 in my gc and i know of at least 25 of them down in socal....

 

Huh? Nothing JDM will pass, and anything USDM that's the same year or newer of the car getting the swap is legal.

 

im talking in the mechanics, they will all FIT
