How to adjust adle speed - '01 RS

My car idles MUCH smoother just under 1k rpm. At stock idle it's rough and lumpy and also throws CELs because of the flywheel. If I hold the idle up to just under 1k it's nice, smooth and I don't get CELs. Can I adjust the idle with the throttle stop, or is there a proper way to do it?

idle is non adjustable...but what you can do is, turn on your A/C it will make the idle jump up a couple hundred rpm. i have my a/c disconnected, and my idle is fairly rough, but with it on, it idles nice and smooth at about 950 rpm

Yeah, you can't really adjust it. Why do you want to do it? There are sort of "shady" ways of doing it, but i do not recommend. But if you are looking for a screw you can turn to adjust it, then no, you cannot do it.

My original post explains why I want to adjust it pretty well.

Basically, my car idles smoother and such around 900rpm, and I prefer it to idle around there to make me happy, and keep the vibes down and make my car happier.

Thanks for the info, sad as it is. Is there anyone that reflashes '01 RS ECUs? I think I saw something on i-speed's site about it a while back and I asked them about it but it didn't sound very promising. I would like some sort of reflash anyway.

At this point I am looking for "a method" of getting my idle to be around 900rpm. My oldfashoined ways had me looking for a screw to turn, but really I just want my idle up a bit.

Use the TPS sensor on the site. 2 screws. Losen then and carefully turn it. ECU might try to compensate so it might take you few tries.

Or connect two ports one before one after TB. Install an online switch and open and close it to allow more air to bypass the throttle plate to gain your desired idle speed.
