help me identify my block
The plate on the fender inside says EJ22E, but the car is completely rebuilt underneath, and I want to know what my block is. I know it IS an EJ22, because the casting is obvious, but here are some misc. codes I've found on the engine.
On the flate surface in the back on the bell housing before the tranny, it has "56[]666" on one side of one block and "559551" on the other
On the right side from that it has a sticker that says "759343"
On the block under the coolant pipe it says "55AA1111"
On the block in big casting numbers it says "3342" (up and to the left of the EJ22 designation)
thanks for any help. (looking to see if somebody frankensteined a rare closed deck EJ22 block with EJ22E N/A internals or something.

I know it's an EJ22, and looking at the heads don't do anything for finding out what the block is.
I doubt it's a cool EJ22G instead of the EJ22E I think it is. Oh well, either way, it's still SUBARU.

(Just means I don't really want to boost it)

um, that would be the engine code.
And it is an EJ22. But that's not what I'm asking, I was asking about any ways to externally find out about whether the block is open or closed deck. I think it is the original block (open) but that's fine with me. Just means I can't really boost it.
