false knock sensor

false knock sensor

my CEL has come on twice in the last two weeks. I went to autozone and had the code pulled. it was the knock sensor. my car has been running fine?!? any ideas of what this could be?

Go to a dealer. If you are under warranty they will pull codes for free and fix whatever they find.

thanks but i have a 96 with 101k miles on it it's not exactly under warranty, and the dealer will take to long and cost too much
