Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

I did meet a guy who did this. He said it worked good but only had a S-AFC and didnt use any real engine management. From what I have seen and heard , if you do it, the key is engine management.

I was under the impression that this couldnt be done but I may be wrong. I'd say if your gonna turbo, do it right and get a kit. More $ now will save $ and headaches in the future.

To use those parts, you need a WRX or turbo Legacy front crossmember, all the piping including headers, and a way to control boost, timing, and fuel. Also don't forget the intercooler, bigger custom injectors, new intake piping, etc. etc. etc. If you are familiar with turbo engines or know someone who is, it's not that hard to do. If you are only passingly good at wrenching, go with a preassembled kit. You'll make more power and have far fewer headaches that way.
