DOHC heads on N/A
What's up guys/gals, has anyone made any attempts to mount a WRX or STI DOHC heads on a 2.5i boxer with AT or MT. If so, what are the pros and cons for the mod, is there any extensive mods to make it possible, what HP does it offer.
I can't help you on hp output, but i can give you some advice. You go from sohc to dohc you will need a ecu swap, the two are not compatible. This may have changed in newer models, bit i highly doubt it. A stand alone will get the job done , i recommend the standalone because it would give you more control, but also because cobb builds their access ports purpose specific, cobb being the next easiest to access. As with any hybrid build, you may run into size matching issues with blocks and heads, i am also looking at a hybrid build possibility, mine being a sohc ej251 head going on a sti block, sohc flows better, so a bit better to match the sc i want to run, plus i don't have avcls, i think that is what its called, thus it allows me to not have to change my ecu. This is just basic stuff as i haven't built a hybrid motor yet. Hope i helped.

Well the location that i am currently residing has limited sources that will make a hybrid build possible. We have more STI and WRX here on the island and are having a hard time with tunning their cars.
Thanks for the advice, if you happen to make your hybrid a relatity post up your specs and numbers produce.
Thanks.
