Does your car shake?
My car has ruffly 160miles on it. When I am in neutral every 30 seconds or so my car shakes very mildly (for about 2-3 seconds). Is this due to the boxer engine?
(no.. the heating is off along with the air conditioner)
Just curiosity.....

mine does that...next time it happens check your rpm...when my car shakes in neutral it's when the car is just sitting there and the rpms jump from 500-600rpm to 1000rpm (then slowly fall down)...
i've been told this is normal for the 2.5i's (and im assuming all previous versions)...as you prolly have noticed the car idles VERY low on the rpm scale (lower then most cars i've ever driven)

mine too when im ideling... the rpm's go to about 1.5-2k and then drop back down. When it first started doing it i didn't know what to think. Figured it was normal.
mine starts at 1.5-2K RPM when its warming up. then falls to 400-500RPM and then blurps to 600-700RPM (and that causes it to "shake")
it only means we need more STIFFER engine/tranny mounts
[haha!]

My daughters '07 2.5i special edition 5 speed idles smoothly. No shake at all. Now it does take a split second to hit idle speed after running at higher revs, but nothing abnormal or what is even noticeable other than changing rpm's.
well it does idle smoothly but every now and again it sounds like as if you turned the AC on (the compressor kicking on even if no heat or ac is in use) and the cars rpms jump...i call that a shake cause the car does give a little side to side action lol...but nothing very noticeable...i still have mechanics that look at my car and think something is wrong because it can idle below the avg 800-1000rpm...**** the other day it was below the 500rpm marker just sitting there
