Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Arrow Cruise Control Kit

I am looking at a OEM Cruise Control Kit (H7010FA223) for my 97 Subaru Impreza L Wagon with the 2.2 and a automatic transmission. I was wondering if anyone had installed this kit and how hard it was to install? Even a estimate of how much a dealer would charge to install it would help.

I did that kit years ago. It all went smoothly except for the removal of the bolt in the back of the manifold where the vacuum line goes in (I think that's what it was). Anyhow, it was a square-headed bolt (i.e. won't fit a socket) made of relatively soft metal that was obviously never meant to be removed from the engine. My neighbour helped out with his acetylene torch and we got it out eventually.
