check out http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/trolleyed/8/24/index.htm
They sell the straight center pipe and the offer a replacement straight pipe for each cat section (ie two short pipes with madrel bends) that is a bolt in replacement for your stock cat section. Pretty sweet but shipping/ordering might be tough. Good luck...

The reason I like the Scoobyworld ones is they mate to the OEM flanges at all points so you can bolt them up for a day at the track, then throw the cat section back on if you need to be legal, pass emisions, ect.
Heck, I say just put a straight pipe, no muffler, no cats, if you want the most for your money- it would literally cost you $50-$75 depending on sizes and stuff. Then just save your old exhaust, just in case of the above...
Oh, and I understood that a midpipe is the portion of the exhaust that connects the main exhaust manifold (headers) to the muffler- therefore a cat IS, in fact, a part of the midpipe. The cat section was just added for emisions control, among other things. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Essentially, the RS has 2 midpipes, one with cats and one without. Typically the cat section can be referred to as either a midpipe or 'catpipe' for obvious reasons.
