Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Question buying a impeza

hi guys!

well! im intendind to buy a suby impreza AWD! iv seen two subys that i like.. the 1993-1995 subaru impreza base, or the 1993-1997 impreza L... i can pick up any one of these standed cars for around the $3000 to $5000 australian dollers.. but i dont kno in what impreza i should buy! you see, im going to drop an ej20 turbo in it, an then im going to upgrade the rotors from a standed rotor to the EBC sports sloted rotors or the EBC ultimax sloted rotors with 16inch rims an 205/50R16 low profile tires. an maybe upgrade the Calipers an brake pads aswell "who knows" then im going to put headers on with a lukey preformance exhaust with cat system with a cannon muffler or an oval muffler for a nice sound.. but i need to leave the car sitting around for a while becouse my mrs cant drive turbos while on her p's an plus we already have a standed subaru liberty 1991 model "****box" that we are useing for her L's an P's, becourse i cant get my licence back to 2020. i realy dont know alot about the subys or the 1993-1995 impreza base so if anyone could tell me what impreza would be the one to go for out of the two subys... would be good!

I own a 95 impreza L. If you want to really turbo it i would suggest trying to get an 2.5 RS, I believe you can only get the 1.8 and the 2.2 in the L version. So it wouldnt hurt to start of with a little more power. Also there is a lot more info out there about turboing a 2.5 as opposed the the 2.2 or 1.8. One advantage of the L is that they are really light tho. So breaks and supension would make for a nice handling car

I would definitley get a Subaru Impreza aspecially in the 1993-1995 years.
From my experience I had a 1995 Subaru Impreza that I daily drove to
school and work and I had 355K miles when I traded it in for my
2004 Subaru Impreza WRX sedan I have now and it still ran great.
It was a very reliable and dependable vehicle to me and I truely
loved that car it served me well over the years.Search private owner
and dealerships you will find a Subaru you want to purchase the best
of luck.
