borla header ground clearance
How is the ground clearance for the 2.5L borla headers compared to stock? I know the cobb headers actually improve clearance. Any one have any pics of them installed on their car? Couldn't find any dyno results for them either anyone know where to find them? I've heard the borlas improve mid and high end torque, do they improve low end also?
thanks you for your help

They are lower. Not much, but the front is definatly lower as the borlas go along the front of the engine instead of straight back. You can see the difference when you look under the car.

is this low enough? didn't really check before and after i installed it
I think i lost a little bit of low end but can't tell... def increased mid/high end thought or it could be just in my head while on the freeway
has a nice sound for sure though

hmm... never really thought about that one haha...
but doesn't seem too hard to get to it... just watch out for hot headers since they can be easily touched... i don't think its too much of a problem since i use a socket for the oil filter with a long extension
now that i think of it... i wonder how hot that filter gets now while driving o_0

Yea the heating of the oil filter has been discussed before and I think it was decided that it can't be all that bad, especially while you're moving- air flow will at least keep it from heating too much.. I had the thought of using a socet for the oil filter but couldn't find a filter that had a nut on the bottom of it. What filter are you using?? Thanks.

i was thinking of getting the oil cooler at some point but not sure now how close the filter will be to the headers... think it would fit...
but anyways i use the same filters as from the dealer

The oil filter is real close-close enough to burn the black grabbing crap on a fram...Not bad enough to put a damper on oil changes, still plenty of room to take off/put on. Brian
