Hi All,
Want to change to copper plugs for my Outback.
I've heard the copper NGK v-powers are a good choice,
can't seem to find them.
Anybody got favorites/recommendations for the 2.5 litre?
thanks.

hey...I have a 98 2.5rs. I just bought some bosch platinum +4s. These are the ones with 4 points. I have heard many good things about them. Sapposedly I will be able to "FEEL" the improvment. we will see how good they work =)

I've used the +4's in one of my Subaru's (97 OB Limited) I did not find any difference between them and the NGK coppers. In fact, when I removed the +4's and looked at the end by the electrodes w/ a loop. You could see that only one of the 4 electrodes were really doing the work. I think you're better off just getting the copper plugs and changing them more often. Barring that the Bosch single electrode plugs if you don't want to change them as often. I have an FAQ here on changing the plugs:

I think the 6E are colder plugs.
i had the same problem too. i went to the store and said 5E-11 but they go your car 2.0L SOHC is 6E-11. but i was sure cause in the manual i copied the number from.
oh btw the "v-Power" plug u guys have seem to have differnt packaging and the colour is differnt!? the plugs that i got were silvery with a tint of brass-yellow. the plugs thats on this forum are like yellow!

I have 2000 2.5RS and recentltly pulled the NGK copper BKR6E-11 plugs I installed six monthes ago. They were almost as new and the gap.044 was still intact. I have enjoyed the performance from these plugs and they were a huge positive change from the champions.

The yellow and red packaging is from a 10 pack, silver is for the 4 packs.

Why would you say that BAN SUVS? My Dad has them in his Supercharged Miata and they work great. Though I'm not positive I believe the STI comes with them from the factory. I believe they are NGK IFR6B with the first letter designating Iridium.
