99 Haynes Manual?

Hey guys - I'm trying to find a Haynes manual, or the like, for a 1999 Impreza 2.2L. However I never see one at Autozone, so I don't know if they actually make one for that model/year.

I am looking for information on several things, but specifically, I'm looking for Valve Lash Adjustment DIY information. If anyone has information, or any idea where I can find a manual that will help, please post or PM me the info.

I can actually answer that!

That's because Haynes only lists by year built not model year, so they consider your 99 impreza 2.2L a 98.

Ahh yes, but the assembly line began in 98 for the 99, production sometimes runs over.

My mechanics manual claims the 99 EJ22 has hydraulic lifters and cannot be adjusted. Someone on another thread posted they were solid?

Can anyone confirm that they are hydraulic or not?

I've been looking for a manual too. I have a 2.5rs that was built in the second half of 99' Would this count as a 2000? Or do I backtrack and buy the 98 book. I've already learned that it takes 2000 brake pads,.... Hmm, I guess I just answered my own question. :banana:
