hello, i am new to this forum and i have a problem. i have a 2010 impreza 2.5i hatch and recently my check engine came on! i went to the dealer (since i have a guarantee) and they told me that my front cat needs to be replaced... only thing is that its 1500$$.... so ...

i want to know if there is any way to get a nice sound, replace my cat, AND remove the check engine all at the same time for cheeper?

i read on other threads about high flow cats, uel headers etc but i need something that dosent cost too much and most importantly, that fixes the problem (might as well get some suby sound out of it)

please let me know if anyone has info/ideas!

 

Get a code reader, and see what code you're pulling. then you'll have a better idea on what is causing the light to go on. could be a sensor went bad or got dirty.

 

I did! They said the code was p0420 and he said my front cat is cracked
