Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Smile 2001 impreza 2.5RS

I just picked up my 2001 impreza 2.5RS today. It's silver and has 38,000 miles on the odometer; I got it for $9,000. The downside is that it is a automatic, not a standard.... regardless I couldn't pass up the price. I want to start tuning it, but I was wondering what I should do first. I was thinking of a Stage 2 performance package from Cobb Tuning and upgrade my ECU found here (http://cobbtuning.com/impreza/powerpackage2.html) . I would also get the Stage 1 suspension kit found here (http://cobbtuning.com/impreza/suspension1.html). I was wondering if anyone had any sudjestions. O yeah, Im getting BF Goodrich g-force KDW-2 tires put on either way. I was hopeing on Autocrossing. I'm still pissed its not a 5-speed but what are you gonna do.....

the single best suspension upgrade I have done to my car is the whiteline anti lift kit. Made it feel like a brand new car.
I think cobb's suspension stuff is a bit pricy. You can pick up a rear sway bar for $100 and front and rear srut tower braces are very generic you could pick them up off of ebay for $50. the stage 2 pack seems like a decent deal.
