I dont know why you'd rather have that engine, but any EJ20 engine will fit in a car equipped with an EJ series engine.

Any change in motor will require wiring changes, but any Subaru motor in a Legacy, Impreza, Forester, or Baja will fit in any of the others physically.

On a side note, I am going to be selling a complete AWD EJ25 drivetrain, less a few things like alternator and PS pump soon. PM me for details if you are interested in that. It will include the ECU and engine wiring harness, but probably not the bulkhead harness.

Engine, transmission, shifter, driveshafts, rear end, everything. I am putting a new motor in along with an STi 6 speed. The motor will be complete from intake to exhaust tip (i'll throw in a dual tip Stromung with the package). The only thing that I won't be selling for sure are the accessories and mounting brackets. Need those for my car still. I will be willing to ship as soon as I have everything out of the car.
