Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

2.5 rs ecu reflashes?

I have a 03 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS. I want to do something for the ECU. ive checked out cobb tunning and they have some package deals for my car. Is this a good idea.
is there alot of horsepower to be gained from this?

What do they change exactly?
will i need bigger injectors?
if a had my cams shaved 1000profile afterward, would i have to reflash again?
i haven't seen much ecu n/a tuning threads

will i get a get a backup of my original ECU. Is there a place where I can get that done?

i will be doing a major service to my car in the near future belts water pump Valve Cover and Spark Plug Gasket, new spark plugs, valve adjustment?
should i change/replace anything while so much is off my engine?

Thank you! kill me softly

keep it how it is..its too much to build a N/A. Any money you put into it, it will still be slower than a turboed car.. plus you'll save gas and at least you have the ability to out live a turboed car haha..

Ya it gets pricy when the engine starts coming out everyother weeklol. Just wondering if a place like WORKS offers a quick tune for n/a. 168 h/p leaves civics molesting me on the road. After weighing a swap out with n/a tuning, the swap still will cost uppwards of 4to5 grand for a (non wrench monkey like myself). The shear magnitude of replacing engine, tranny, exhaust, is too much for my first tuned car.
And turboing a 2.5 looks like that will result in 2 months of fun shortly fallowed by tranny failure.

Come on someone has cranked these single cam airplane engines to higher HP. Without strapping sudden death to my stock block.

Click on the different levels (SRS10, SRS19, SRS20, SRS30 etc) for what you need and a guesstimate on how much *power* you'll get from it.

Also, try a search on RS25.com

So Crawford makes the rs reflshes and the only category. Without getting new heads and running a catless exhaust is the srs-10. What is the difference between the srs-10 and the srs-10 + core. I guess my question is what's the core? 5-10 HP is the gain as well
