i have a 98 l and did the grounding mod and i now idle at 200 rpms yes this is correct. I still have a very smooth idle but im concerned that it might not be as responsive as it is supposed to be . Should i have a higher idle? What do you idle at?

No way a 200 rpm idle would be smooth. Use something else to determine the true Idle speed. I suspect something about the grounding kit or install weakened the tach signal.

i guess the only way to diagnose this is to unhook everything and see what happens.
this may not do anything but have u tried resetting the ecu? it's a long shot, but who knows?

low idle
Maybe the problem isn't the grounding mod and the problem just occurred simultaneously with your grounding mod. Don't be offended, but are all the grounds tight?
Other options could be a vacuum leak, IAC malfunction, fuel pump not sending enough fuel, dirty throttle body, air filter.
Take the grounding mod off and see if your problems are fixed. Good luck.
