Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

09 2.5 n/a

No you can't.

N/A motors don't take well to forced induction either. It would be less expensive to just trade your car for a LGT.

Believe me im in the same boat as you and ive talked to numerous people, even some at the Subaru dealership, and they all say if u add on power products like intakes amd turbos you're gonna throw codes left and right

Best mods you can do to your car is suspension. Sway bars, endlinks, strut bars, LCA's, coilovers, tires and wheels; but the most you will get out of the engine is headers, exhaust, intake, and a tune.

IMO, and no offense, but if you wanted this much power and handling, why didnt you buy an 04-07 WRX/STi in the first place? itd be more $$$ and hassle to add that power to an NA. just trade in for an older wrx/sti. trust me, ud be a lot better off.

Edit: thought you were talking NA 2.5RS. but same thing goes for leggy. what was stopping you from going lGT from the get go?

And what problem was that?

And pray tell, how would a turbo header fit on a non-turbo car?

i love my06 legacy AWD system. its also 2.5 n/a but it has LSD so you have plenty of control. i would get a proper setup and some nice 1200 wheels to make it official

subsitute the turbo kit ect for nice wheels. get in the shoe game!

all cars have their flaws. NAs were common for their HGs. 06 for their engine as u state without cold hard facts. which is cool. idc. all im saying is i think you should have really gone down into research of different cars before making a decision based on "heard" I, as well as everyone else here would say youre an idiot for going down to NA. but again, to each his own. just trying to be helpful here.

Many will say 07s have their tranny issues, some will say 04s have engine issues, there are issues everywhere you go to be honest. if you are like me and really want to make the right choice. google their common recalls or issues. just to give u an idea. for example, if 07s had "bad" trannys due to bad syncros or weak gears, i would still buy the car, but in my mind, i have somewhat an idea of A) what it might be and B) hopefully youve done the research to see what other people have done. people have 06's and love em. ask them how they go about the issue you seem the 06s have. my .02.

but going back to your OP, id start with suspension. sway bars, coilovers, TIRES. after that id look into CAI but carb legal. after that if you really want that power, camshafts, trubo kits, etc.

goodluck bud!
