Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

06 2.5i cat question

Hey guy's, it's me. Some of you may remember me, some prob. not. It's been awhile. Anyways, I wanted to ask if you guys know of the best cat to put into an 06 2.5i . I have rallitek headers with an espiller catback system with a generic cat for the time being that makes rediculous noises and gives the system a somewhat **** sound. I've been dealing with it for awhile, but now I seriously need to get something better. What do you guys recommend? I need something high flow.

Also, another question while I am at it. I have had the rallitek pp6 for a year and a half now and STILL have not installed it and I'm not sure if I want to or not, I've heard good things and I've heard bad things.. any insight on this?

and one more question, I also have a lightweight crank pulley that has been sitting in the closet for a year and a half. I've heard some people say they have actually lost power after putting one of these on. I really don't know how, but what do you guys think? Fyi, my car is automatic so I don't know if that makes a difference when it comes to power gains/loss compared to a manual.

I've been itching to get this stuff on. I think it's about time. If I don't put the pp6 on, then I really need to get the car retuned for what I currently have on.

Here's a picture of the car to help you folks remember.

whats going on mysterio. Long time no see.
As for the cat, I'm not too sure which one to go for, but I've heard that stromung cats are top of the line, but pricey. That or techworks which is reallly pricey. But for the pp6, i can't see any harm on using it to tune your car. I think there's only pp6 and enginuity that can tune our cars at the time being. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1402669

and as far as I know for the lighweight crank pulley, I have one on my 06 2.5i, and it acutally smoothened the revs, and technically "free up some hp".
I don't know where you got the info on losing hp, but I have yet to hear of that.

peace out

Hey man! yeah it has been awhile. thanks for the info, I am going to check those out after work. I read about the crank pulley a while back on, i think, this site. I remember reading it and thinking "how the hell". It was said by quite a few people so it had me sketchy on putting it on. I am going to go ahead and put it on when I get the chance. Now to find a cheap plug N play harness for the pp6. I am not going to pay what rallitek wants for one, it's pretty rediculous for wire and plastic.

i've been running catless on my 07 2.5i, running SSAC modified headers, with a custom 2.5" header back exhuast. no CEL's with no cat, i might just be lucky, it's been about 6months....
