what is the best, free flowing cat back for the 05 STi?

 

There is no such thing you only make 2HP with a cat-back. Save your money for a TBE. Talk to APS they are the pro's.

 

Yep they all are pretty much going to be the same. You need a complete turbo back to make any noticable power. Even then honestly it is up to your sound desires.

any of you ever heard of Taipan XP exhaust for the STI? Is it a good exhaust? it is a TBE as far as I know. or is this a cheap exhaust?

if there was such thing as a best everyone would have it. i personally have the turbo xs RFL TI turbo back very loud and very unrestricted and i love it

Your going to find that with the majority of popular 3" straight through designed cat backs are quite comparable performance wise, I like the Greddy EVO nad Borla hush since they are quite and look good, if you like loud, theres PLENTY of choices

 

HKS Hi-Power exhaust. I love it sounds nice. LOW DEEP RUMBLE. Loud when you want it and quite when you want it also. Doesnt get annoying at all

 

cat-back = sound
just look around for sound clips or find people that have different exhaust and pick your favorrite. Let us know if you decide on one
