The vf34 should bolt right up. You'll need injectors, fuel pump, and an accessport before the turbo goes in. It depends how well you tune (up pipe, exhaust, ect...) but you could make around 270whp on a vf34.

I wouldnt run on it before you get it tuned if you can help it. A few miles run under the turbo and you SHOULD be ok, but their are many variables on what can happen with a new set of injectors (so you might need to have the car towed). Size of injectors will depend on how much power you are looking to make, i'd say between 550cc and 750cc . For a fuel pump go for Walbro. Make sure you get an accessport with all this so you dont run the car too rich or lean. You can buy a Injector/fuel pump combination from www.gruppe-s.com that'll save you some money for shipping and confusion.

If the car is a 2006 then upgraded injectors are not needed as the stock '06 injectors flow plenty for a VF34 setup. But give me a call at Gruppe-S (510-783-5300) and I will put together a Fuel Pump w/ Setup Kit and VF34 Turbo price for you 06scooby. By the way install would be $215 for the FP and Turbo. You are going to need to tune the car after, I would suggest a Cobb AccessPort (call me for good price) and a ProTune on our AWD by Mike for $195. After install and tune WHP (wheel horse power) really depends on supporting mods, can explain more if you call.
Thanks,
Greg

The injectors on a stock 2006 WRX have a higher flow rate than the aftermarket injectors we would put on a 2002-2005 WRX with a VF34, no need for injectors.

I would imagine that this would be a pretty cheap setup...assuming that the IC isnt replaced? If I were to already be running stage 2, i could just get the turbo and the fp and a protune and be good?

Although I would probably want a 20g which would need bigger injectors and a new topmount at least huh :/. Sorry for minor thread hijack.

I got an 02 WRX with, HKS Carbon fiber Ti Catback, Invidia V2 downpipe and up-pipe, Injen cold air intake, and an HKS SSQV blow off valve. I was thinking about getting a VF34 with STi pink injectors, APS front mount intercooler and the cobb tuning system, but ive been reading up on the VF39, and it seems like thats a better turbo...plus its still a bolt on. What do you guys think? VF34 or VF39? and how much HP do you think Id be pushing with either turbo?

Thread moved from Aftermarket Turbo forum, which caters to turbo setups added to factory NA (normally-aspirated) engines.
