Which EM are you planning on using? I think many offer the knock detection (at least I'm certain that the UTEC does via the flashing CEL), so whenever you purchase EM you should get that capability.

pat i am currently running cobb ap stage 2(due to lack of awd dyno in hawaii) but plan to upgrade to a utec when i move back to the mainland
