Solenoid or wastegate or turbo problem?
so one day drove my car to hear my 3 port boost solenoid clicking like crazy once entering boost. I later found a broken T-fitting in my vacum line to my boost gauge and replaced it but now I still have an issue. For the past 2 months my car has been making a loud whooshing sound when I let off the gas, i have mad turbo lag it feels like, and my torque isnt there. I have a vf37 so turbo lag just feels wrong. I boost leak checked the car and its not even leaking! what could this be? I am going to swap out a new 3 port boost solenoid which is exactly the same one I have now but if its not that, what could it be? my wastegate? my turbo is going out? restrictor pill missing? i dont even know if that could just fall out but i neve noticed it....

There's usually no restrictor pill used with 3-port solenoids. If you had a big enough leak, it could have thrown the ECU off enough to cut boost. If you're sure that there are no leaks, I would start by resetting the ECU.

thanks ed, i reset the ecu and have even swapped out the solenoid and that still didnt work. I have comcluded that my wastegate is stuck partially open and i have ordered a new one from AVO for my vf37, but im still waiting for it to come in so I can install it. Sound like a possible failure going on here?
