Side Feed to Top Feed Conversion / TGV Delete
Hey guys,
I am looking to go E85 on my 05 STI when I get back from Afghanistan which requires an injector upgrade. Since most higher CC injectors are top feed it got me looking into a side feed to top feed TGV conversion. This led me to wanting to do the TGV delete. I found some good write ups like this one:
How To: Side to Top Feed Conversion - Subaru Impreza WRX STI Forums: IWSTI.com
But still had some questions. I noticed I can use WRX TGVs which are top feed and I could get those deleted. Is there any difference between WRX or STI TGVs? From what I read they are a direct swap, minus the change in injector position.
I also noticed you could purchase JDM TGVs which are already deleted and from what I understand a direct swap. Again minus the injector position. I found these here for $260:
JDM STI TGV Deletes
Or I found this company on NASIOC which sells custom made top feed TGV Delete kits. I am just a little weary about them being composite and not metal. Anyone have any reviews on these?
ZEROLIFT - Subaru TGV Delete Risers - WRX / STI / LGT - $200 SHIPPED - NASIOC
I know that APS makes a conversion kit but its super expensive. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
