reset ecu with accessport need help!
when i reset the ecu with the accessport i know it will clear the CEL...but what else? will i have to install it all over again or change the map or something...someone please help
no once you reset, you will go back to you base map..wat base map did you load? wat ever base map you loaded in the first place..resetting you ecu will return to previous base map..and it will erase the learnings
When you reset the ECU your base map will still be on your ECU, but you will have to load your real time map.
Don't drive around with just the base map and not the real time map loaded on top of it.

i have never heard this before. is it more efficient to run the real time map on top of the base map?
When you initially load the base map onto your ecu (with the green plugs under the dash connected), it will automatically load the real time map as well. From that point on, any time you reset the ECU, whether it be by pulling the negative battery cable or using the AP to reset, you will need to load the real time map again.
