poor idle even after returning to stock
My cousin bought a '04 STI a few month ago and decided to do some modding on it. Not exactly sure on all the details but i know for sure he had a boost controller on it and turned it up to 18PSI (!). Anyway, shortly after that he took it for a WOT run and the CEL came on, he also has a flashing cruise control light. Since then it has poor idle, sometimes stalls at lights and has the CEL and cruise light even lit after resetting the computer. He took it to a dealer (idiots here) and they scanned it and said they pulled 2 codes that meant garbage to them (I have the codes at home, I'm at work but will post them later).
So, the car stayed at the dealer for about 2 weeks and still is not fixed. The car has been returned to stock completely and there are no mods on it at all right now and still the same problems. Anyone have an idea of what's up? Did he screw the turbo up by turning the boost up too much? Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the info guys. I haven't really had anytime to look into the problem, hopefully this weekend I will be able to spend some time on it. The codes the dealer pulled are the following:
p2089
p2093
They said both of these codes are garbage and mean nothing? Anyone know what they are? My cousin doesn't know much about cars so he never asked for the sensor readings but I told him to call them and ask for them so hopefully tomorrow I can post that, maybe something will look totally wacked and give us a hint. Any other thoughts or info is greatly appretiated. Thanks again.

There is a thread here:
https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...5&pagenumber=1
Which lists the error codes. Unfortunately, I do not see the ones you have on there.

My STI is starting to scare me. I get codes 1153 every day, the dealer can't solve it, and my car is bone stock. BONE STOCK! Since my cruise and cel are on the car seems to be running in limp mode and I barely get 200 miles per tank - down from 260. I think these cars are waaaay too sensative, and we are all going to learn a hard lesson about buying a first-year car.

My sti runs fine too. Sometimes a code just doesn't mean anything. It points you in a direction that doesn't really go anywhere. Don't ask me why companies do this but they do. Hope you get it all figured out.
