new turbo!!
i just bought a brand new vf 43!! finally i got the turbo! im so ready to put it in but i really need a downpipe. i have an 07 wrx does anyone have a 3" catted downpipe they want to get rid of??? pm me please

you can't remove and re-insert a cat from a catted downpipe, but you can remove and re-insert a sound baffle from an exhaust. How is that unpractical?

I should mention that this is only possible (to my knowledge) with an aftermarket exhaust system. I don't think anyone makes a baffle for the stock exhaust.
I have the HKS HiPower exhaust, and the baffle is inserted in the tail pipe of the exhaust canister, drops it to the legal level. And whenever I want to do a little spirited driving, I just remove it.

np, catless is cheaper, you make more power, and you could always switch back to the stock one when smog time comes (which I believe first smog for your car would be 2011)...
