My STi threw a CEL!! Plz help!! :(

Ok, had my headers and aps TBE installed and all was running fine until just like 20 minutes ago. I was in 4th gear at 6.5K when I shifted to 5th. Right when 5th set in I felt a little knock and my check engine light came on, and my "cruise" light started flashing. I was goin uphill and I was passing someone when this happened. Doesn't seem like it's affected the performance of the car. But I don't know what caused this and what to do. SOMEONE HELP!!!!

Dude w/ all that free flowing exhaust on that STi your car probaly over boosted and you hit fuel cut. Time to port n polish that waste gate. http://www.deadboltspeed.com/ < these are the guys my friend sent his turbo to. But he recently found these guys but i have never heard of any one using them but that doesn't mean they don't do good work--->http://www.ma-motorsports.com/turboporting.php If you wanna see some pics of a vf39 waste gate unported and a pics of a ported waste gate to comare LMK. There is a noticable difference.

Ok... So my friend in santa rosa had one of those ODBII *reader thingys....* heh. He checked the codes to see what popped up, and he found that the CEL was due to overboost "P0244" was the code. And I found out how my catless setup is working without throwing a CEL at me. The secondary O2 sensor was disabled.. good or bad?? I dunno.. Well I was driving down to santa barbara from where I live and I started to notice why this could be happening. Note- "This kind of boost never happened with my stock exhaust.. I.E.- Boosting over .1 ." I have one turbo boost gauge and with my stock exhaust it "never" boosted over .1 ... But now with my Invidia headers and my APS 3.5" catless TBE I noticed if i push it hard enough it'll boost up to .14 in 4th, 5th, and 6th gear when full throttle over 5K. And that's when my cell light came on. And yes... unfortunately it has come on again. I was in 6th gear going almost 125 mph at around 4.5K and my boost read .12 and I hit fuel cut.. I thought the STi was governed at 145mph...??? Maybe i'm just driving it too hard.. I dunno.. But my CEL/Cruise light is back on, and this time it wont turn off, and this happened during another long drive. I don't know what I can do to fix this, and I don't know how serious of an effect this is having on my turbo/engine or whatever. Am screwing anything up by driving it this hard? I'm looking to add quite a bit more power to my car. But i'm waiting for the Accessecu to come out for the STi in feburary before I have these upgrades installed:

I have n experince w/ the SR-50 but i hear its an excellent turbo. I'm pretty sure something so well built and expensive should not allow you to over boost or spike as long as the boost isn't too high. Have fun w/ that setup it looks like you really will.
I was driving my friend's STi on race track and exact same thing happened.
CEL and cruise light started flashing.. then all the warning lights came on.
I wasn't sure what happened but the tach showed that the engine has shut down by itself.. I was running around 70mph.
after resetting the ECU, the car run fine.
so it was overboost huh?
the STi was bone stock.

) and the car shut downtheres been threads about how if youre at a 1/4 tank or less and you go around a sharp turn the fuel pickup wont get the fuel and the motor will stall out
Solution: keep the tank above 1/4 tank
My car did the same flashing CEL, and Cruise. I had the cruise on and my car is bone stock. There was only 995 miles on it when this happened. CEL code PO345 - cam sensor.
