My ATP GT3076R EWG Setup
So I have a thread on nasioc I figured I'd toss one over here.
Quick run down.
My car had a pe1820 installed with a few bolt ons.
Was fun for a while. Time to go bigger ow.
So the search was on for the best bang for the buck. Which is what most want right...
So I picked around the turbo info on the net. Was going to get a PE turbo but the cost doubled when it was time to lay the cash down and so I went a differant route.
I picked up the ATP Turbo and got it with their new EWG built into the hot side.
Now this was not going to be much of a bolt on set up. So to speak. I think there is only a few of us in the subaru world running this. I know of two and then myself.
So the turbo is a garrett ball bearing turbo. Quick spooling I'm hoping. This is my 1st time using them.
My parts so far:
ATP GT3076R
Tial 44mm EWG
Turbo XS FMIC
Tial BOV
Injen CAI
APS turbo inlet
So as I get started. I removed the stock downpipe. Pull the pe1820 off.
I mock the 3076 on the stock uppipe. Looks good so far. So from there I mock up the fmic.
Now since I have the APS turbo inlet already installed. I decided to pick up the 70mm APS CAI. Also picked up a HKS downpipe.
One problem after getting home I found out the APS 70 cai doesnt work with the Turboxs fmic. So time to replace the new fmic with a APS fmic
So back to the turbo.
Its all installed. I was backing the car up and found I had a oil leak. The ATP oil line is not fitting correctly. I towed the car up to LIC motorsports to have them fix the leak and go thru the install to check my work.
I got the car back working perfect. Drove it home without a front bumper and hood...lol.
So tomorow I need to finish cleaning up some details and heat wrap everything. As I have to make a heat shield. Nothing out will fit my cars turbo set up.
So I'll have some more pictures tomorow. And next week hope to go from street tune to dyno tune. And get some real numbers..
I ended up with
ATP GT3076R
Tial 44 ewg
APS FMIC
APS BOV
APS Inlet
APS 70mm CAI
HKS Downpipe modded for ewg
Ti cat back
Dtwks 740cc injectors
Stock TGV's
Next mods,
Cosworth intake
TGV deletes
JDM Close ratio 6 speed
APS Fuel Rails

Don't worry, I got tuned on the same dyno (gst) @ 20 lbs with full bolt ons (TD06 18G, aps 70, APS TMIC, 740cc, walbro, perrin EL, turbo back, up pipe) and I only made 310 whp.
