Most power without rebuilding engine/transmission?
*This is all hypothetical, I am not currently interested (or have the money) in making my car any faster
What turbo setup/kit out there puts out the most power that does not require a full engine build and transmission rebuild/harder gears/sti gearbox?
More specifically; say i wanted a bigger turbo. I would not want to put in new cams, pistons, etc - engine internals, basically a bolt on turbo kit with supporting mods. Also, i wouldn't want to upgrade the potentially fragile wrx gearbox. (and clutch setup if possible).
As many of you know, the car has the 2.5L wrx engine and the 5 speed wrx transmission.
I was talking to a guy with an 06 wrx sti and he said I should look into a gt35r kit because they are fairly well priced (2k-3k used) and put out lots of power, like low-mid 400whp. I looked into it a bit, but it seems most people were putting in new pistons and stuff like that, most people suggested not doing that setup on a stock block/motor.
When the time comes that I would want more power, I think that I'd like to putting down around 320 - 360awhp if possible without pulling the engine for that kind of work. Is this possible at all? If not, what is the most power i could go for without endangering my engine/transmission?

20g..i belive good for 340whp on pump gas...maybe a gt30r, that will take you to the 370ish...but a gt35r is best, maybe 400whp on pump!

so also, what are the need supporting mods that somone would have to get with a turbo upgrade? like an accessport, bigger injectors, up-pipe, down-pipe, bigger intercooler? (fmic needed?) and what else?
correctly if i'm wrong,
how about all bolt ons like full tbe, headers, uppipe.
vf22 w/ bigger injectors, fuel pump, front mount intercooler and proper tuning.
wont this bring the car to atleast 350whp range?

you got most of the supporting mods but your missing a fuel pump homie and a tune that is of coarse...im running a gt30r with cobb ap v.2 860cc injectors 3" inlet pipe, hks fmic, custom up-pipe, custom 3" downpipe, greddy evo 2 exhuasts. putting down like almost 400 whp more like 390ish with 91 oct. i'd say go with gt30r. you'll love it for sure. i originally wanted just a fp green but my tech told me other wise and got me a gt30r and im very happy i did that move...what ever your choice is hope the main thing your happy with it because your the one paying for it.

Wow cool i completely forgot about the fuel pump, that would be a good idea
Is an fmic needed with a 20g or 30r? Can you even fit a tmic when the newer turbo is in place?
