K&N Typhoon on 07 TR?

I am looking to purchase a K&N Typhoon short ram intake that states it works on all wrx and stis but I am not sure if my 07 WRX TR will be able to fit it? It should right cause they havn't changed the engine compartment room that much right?

just be aware of the filter's need for oil to trap the dirt particles, It can and will get into your MAF and cause issues overtime
IMHO, find a dry flow AEM and call it a day
if you like more noise then stay with the filter on a stick

One of my first mods was putting in my friends K&N Typhoon and boy does it sound great I believe the stock box works better though hence why my buddy gave it to me.

lol I am actually going to buy one of the last white 07 STI's that we have on our lot, so I guess my question was for no reason... but I will just put the yphoon on my new STI :-)

You might want to stick with one of the subie SPT short ram intakes-I've got one and they work well. Will not affect warranty in any way and they don't use oil. KN filters work well, have one on my jeep, but the concerns about affecting the MAF are real. You have to be super careful about oiling a K&N. Also you can pick up an SPT unit for sub $200 if you shop around.
