+1 on the spt intake for not voiding.
I have an HKS exhaust, to me it's not that loud
but when I took my car in for warranty service due to a CEL they didn't haggle me about it. But I would go with what Bay AreaSTI23 said.

SPT has a line of springs also.
http://www.subaru.com/microsites/spt...select.sptmain

This is a good website to see some of what is offered for SPT. Remember for springs you will need it installed at the stealership to not void the warranty.

I've got the SPT on my 06 wagon and it sounds great.

I have an add on 36k warranty and the dealership old me that they just wouldnt warranty any aftermarket parts I.E. if my aftermarket exhaust starts leaking they will not warranty the leak but if I blow my motor with an aftermarket exhaust they will take care of the motor. as far as intakes go I just put on a K&N Typhoon, and was told by my tuner to put the factory one back on because it works best and wont heat up the MAF sensor causing the car to run rich, and it flows plenty of air for up to 350 WHP. but my K&N sounds and works great.

yeah i've checked on the k&n intakes, and am still deciding what to get, on another note, that guy mentioned i need to have my springs installed by the dealership, does that go for the exhaust and intake as well? or just the springs?

Best thing to do is to get spt intake and ANY catback you like, do not change out your downpipe. Springs should be spt. I had a straight pipe on my axel back

With a warranty you should be able to do any intake or catback.
If your going with the SPT intake don't forget to do the SPT
heat shield also.
The SPT exhaust is pretty quiet but is a nice piece.
A warranty is always good to have when parts break or fail.
Ever thought about installing the STi pink springs?

SPT is the way to go without voiding the warranty. i have the intake heatshield exhaust combo and i ran some good numbers today. also spt springs and what not. it is a little more expensive than the other stuff but you dont have to worry about warranty issues/ i am in the same boat as you.

as a matter of fact i have the 2006 wrx wagon.

i got 220whp and 240wtq. i am pretty happy with those numbers. Better thna i expected. i also had really good conditions at the shop too. 74ºF with a 48% humidity.

^ + 1 for SPT. Did you get a tune with you parts, and you put 220whp with just those 2 mods?

no. no tune. i dont have a AP yet. that is coming in the very near future. FLI had a little hang out deal tonight $25 dyno runs so i figured what the hell. A couple of the guys were happy with the numbers too cuz when they were stock they didnt run that great but i also had cool temps and humidity on my side.

after seeign those numbers i am super happy with my purchase. alot of people debate whether it is worth it and i give it a big hell yes.

I was expecting to run maybe 210 but my base was 213whp/228wtq

test was 220.7whp@5750/240.2wtq@3750. max boost was 10.1 psi @ 3850but tapered off to around 7.5 @ 6250

My only question though is, is it normal to peak boost so early and have it tapering at 4000rpm

pretty good I think. Now i know where i want to go from here.

AP v.2 and suspension and then we will go from there.
