Now it is time to make her fast! I am thinking about a cat-back for beginners. After doing much searching, is the XS Turbo cat back the best to get to add a little sound and maybe a tiny little more power? If I get just a cat-back, would I need to get a boost controller to avoid boost creeps? How about an intake and a cat-back? Thanks!!

You won't get boost creep with just a cat-back, but you won't get much power either. Choose a catback based on your preferred looks and sound, and even then it's better to wait and get an entire turboback all at once for maximum benefit. mixing and matching exhaust components can cost you some power.

Based on what I have found out, probably the way to go would be a turbo back exhaust by TurboXS....how much would that run then?
I don't want to go ALL crazy...just enough to hang in there with faster cars.
I just had my first "real" race today against a Cobra 03....ate his lunch out of the hole by about 4-5 cars...he caught me about 110mph or so...then he just wasted me....
Off the role it was no contest...at about 60mph he would walk me every time....bad!!

He's got the horsepower...but a Cobra is just a faster car. STi is not made for drag's, it is made for quick acceleration and fun in the twisties (plus some Road race and auto-x fun

Out of respect for the Z06, you gotta change your damm name.. Your no where near a Z06 in terms of performance.. A Z06 will rap you.. If he knows how to launch it he could even nail a better 60' (with slicks of course)..
BTW.. Stock Zs with REALLY good drivers can run 11s..

I dont think they can run 11s stock...im 99% sure they can get lowish 12 with a really good driver...and i dont think he'd get raped by a z06...an STi is pretty much just as fast to 60...and with a little more power it would be up to the drivers...i agree w/ jeff

Whats an Sti with "Z06 killers" setup running? 13.0 around 104?
I didn't come on here to put down the Sti.. Im checking the car out.. Ive got a slightly modded 225 TT thats got enough goodies to inch on a stock Sti.. Too bad it takes race gas to hang with my buddys Sti (Im screwed once he puts a single mod on the car)..
Anyway.. Im really digging the Sti (eyeing it up for my next mode of transportation), but lets not get carried away.. Yes the Sti is a fast car but by no means does this guy have a Z06 killer.. Maybe if the Z06 driver sits at the line smoking them, but definitely not if its an equal driver race.. The above link is evidence that no stock Sti has a shot with a real good driver behind the wheel of a Z06..
Anyway.. I look forward to the day that the turbo kits are out for the Sti and guys are running low 11s high 10s...
