yea i just put it back on.

it sounds good

but....with this on there, you will notice turbo lag, but i didnt realize it until i put my stock bov back on, also there is a loss of power which you can definitly feel because of the turbo lag.

when i first put it on, i noticed how its alot easier to stall on it. between shifts, you will see that the rpms drop quickly making it hard to shift smoooth.

but if it is fine to have all of those cons, just for sound, then i say do it because it sounds great.

i like the sound, but i dont know if it is worth having all those unsmooth shifts when you just feel like driving the car without having to try and shift smooth.

i noticed how my gas mileage dropped to 240 even though i drive around town shifting under 3200 rpms

whatever choice you make, im sure its a good decision

for those having problems???
did you adjust the BOV???
according to HKS they are preset from the factory

heres what someone wrote on their forum:

Anthony,
Regardless of actual performance (good or bad), venting a blow off valve to atmosphere on any OE MAF car will cause a rich A/F condition when purging. As you mentioned, the OE configuration is recirculating. Also, the SSQV comes pre-adjusted from HKS intended for the specific vehicle. Often, users trying to adjust the SSQV do more harm than good.

Anyhow, here is my speculation on the other problems...

1.) Rich A/F: mentioned above
2.) Stalling: BOV is adjusted too loosely
3.) Turbo lag: there is a vacuum leak

I know that for those who have EM and are able to see/log the leanness of their car immediately after shifting, an atmo BOV could help solve this. It did for me. I'm not a big fan of atmo, but I was trying anything to help me get rid of the problem.

That was a while back. Since then I've changed the setup of my car by adding a front mounted intercooler. I bought the HKS SSQV and I bought the recirculating kit as well.

Based on what I'd found out about how an atmo combats after-shift-knock, I wanted to give it a try in vent to atmosphere before I made it into a recirc.

Right now, it 'flutters' after I lift off of the gas. I understand from reading other folks posts that this is a usual sound that comes from it, but I have my doubts as to how well it's adjusted. It's no longer factory preset.

Thanks
