Flashing Cruise Control light and CEL from intake?

I just put a blitz sus air intake on my 04 sti and now the damn CEL comes on and the Cruise control light flashes. I can reset the ECU and it stays off for a while, but then comes on again after some driving. What the hell is goin on? I havent seen this from an intake before.

You should probably check out the Sticky post at the top of this STI forum. The CELs and flashing cruise control usually mean boost cut off, due to a whole number of things from turbo back exhausts being added or intakes added. Read that post, it's due to the turbo design on the Sti. Good luck

There's nothing wrong with your stock intake. Changing the intake out (as it says repeatedly in the EJ20 forum sticky) can dramatically mess with the MAF sensor readings. Different individual intakes of the same type can even affect the same car differently. Meaning, 2 guys can have the same car and same type of intake with different results.

Well, not only did I have that. I wasnt getting anything in low rpms from it. It was almost like it wasnt getting any air. Anyway, i swapped it back out, and now all is well. So who knows. My STI just did not like it.
