Which Exhaust to use...
Well Bunny, are I presume you are looking for a turboback? Headers included? Looking to keep cats or no? All Stainless? If you give a bit more information on your preferences you may get better answers. I would answer but im not sure what you are wanting.

I went with the Bosal downpipe (power pack from www.mspt.net) and am currently waiting for my blitz nur spec r to arrive with extended kartboy hangers. Don't forget about boost creep...with full turbo back exhausts. I've retained one cat so far, on my sti and the power pack is absolutlety incredible.
no cel issues or boost creep...thanks to metric
no matter what exhaust is your preference.....i would say get the down pipe...it makes a real performance difference

My advice on exhausts is simple. First, ignore what people say about their catbacks. It's biased opinion, since a 3" catback is a 3" catback is a 3" catback when it comes to power. If you want to spend oodles of money, get a titanium system that weighs like half as much. Choose the one that looks and sounds the way you like it.
For the downpipe, I'd always suggest getting a full turboback when possible. If it's not, just make sure it's 3" (or the same diameter as your catback if you went with something different) and has a good flange design. Basically, everything but HKS has a good flange design. I would suggest keeping a high flow cat, because the 5-10 hp gain of skipping it isn't worth the potential fines and hassles over not having it. Not to mention the possibility that you have a social conscience.
Oh, and you don't need an uppipe, yours is catless. Theoretically, one could replace it with smoother piping and see slight gains, but for the cost it's pointless.
