Valve cover. The hose is attached to the silver hard tubes mounted to the TMIC. These tubes are fed from the valve covers.

You would have to come off of the PCV valve. I did both when I had a catch can on my WRX: http://mikeegan.stormpages.com/CatchCan.html.
Some folks say it's bad to do both due to the engine sucking in one and venting in the other, but I never had any problems on the WRX. I have not installed a catch can on my STi.
