Two parts, I know the catless up-pipe is recommended for sure, but the Downpipe I know doesnt make considerable gains and unless your creating a race car it probably isnt worth it. Some will argue but most people don't like the hassle that goes along with it. My 2 cents

I have an APS 3" and the hi flow cat broke, so I'm going catless...at least temporarily.

Butt dyno says noticeable increase!

The problem is MAJOR boost creep issues, smells like crap, and signficantly louder!!!

If an ecutek reflash won't help the boost creep, I'm going to have to go back to the cat and wait till I can afford a new turbo!

hey, I have the turboxs turboback system. what does removing the cat do for sound? do you hear a lot more of the turbo? that's the only reason i'd do it.

Removing the cat didn't allow me to hear the turbo anymore. It just makes the exhaust note significantly louder...more raw-sounding (for lack of a better term). But it still sounds very cool. But people in my neighborhood obviously don't like it. For one thing i NEVER speed down my street cause I know kids are always out. I religously stick to driving 20-25mph on my street.

Nevertheless, since I removed the cat I've been yelled at twice to slowdown, only to look down at my speedo seeing 22 or so mph.

People are idiots sometimes, just cause a car's engine sounds loud, they assume you're speeding....F@#$@ 'em....

...I digress...
