catless performance...
Two parts, I know the catless up-pipe is recommended for sure, but the Downpipe I know doesnt make considerable gains and unless your creating a race car it probably isnt worth it. Some will argue but most people don't like the hassle that goes along with it. My 2 cents

If you want to be really slick about it, get a catless down pipe and then buy an electronic cut-out to bypass your muffler system and blow the exhaust out on the street. I ran turbo-downpipe-testpipe-stock muffler w/cutout @ tp for 3 years on my Supra and never got hasseled once for any exhaust modifiations. I've sat behind numerous cops and I know they smelled the system because its very noticable, but just explain that you have an oil burning issue with your turbo and yor going to the dealership to repair it 8).

I have an APS 3" and the hi flow cat broke, so I'm going catless...at least temporarily.
Butt dyno says noticeable increase!
The problem is MAJOR boost creep issues, smells like crap, and signficantly louder!!!
If an ecutek reflash won't help the boost creep, I'm going to have to go back to the cat and wait till I can afford a new turbo!

hey, I have the turboxs turboback system. what does removing the cat do for sound? do you hear a lot more of the turbo? that's the only reason i'd do it.

Nevertheless, since I removed the cat I've been yelled at twice to slowdown, only to look down at my speedo seeing 22 or so mph.
People are idiots sometimes, just cause a car's engine sounds loud, they assume you're speeding....F@#$@ 'em....
...I digress...
