BOV and cold air intake is not the best mods you can buy. A lot of people think that these are good since it worked on other cars. But every car has different characteristics and types of performance. For a Subaru, BOV is just for sound and nothing more, unless you are boosting 22+ psi. CAI will be nothing but something nice to look at underneath the hood. It's because the turbo is so hot, that when that cold air reach the turbo, it will heat up just like that. It defeats the purpose of having CAI when cold air can't pass through. Stock air box is your best bet, and change the filter into a performance one.

get the BOV if u just want the noise; if u want performance, look more toward a TBE and ecu upgrade. an intake in conjunction with a TBE, and ecu upgrade will be more beneficial also, rather than just bolting on an intake on a STi. look at places like TurboXS, Vishnu etc for staged performance mods, youll find that an intake isnt that big of a priority. also, if youre gonna get a BOV, get a 50/50 one (one that doesnt vent 100% to the atmosphere) those are the ones that make your car run like ****.

If you want the sound. Get a K&N Typhoon short ram intake. Has a nice heat shield so a lot of air is pulled from the fender and will make the woosh you get from a BOV but not quite as loud.

This will cure you CAI and BOV itch. Also I've seen it make power on a dyno.

If you get a bov that recirculates its better, i have the hks ssqv b/c i love that sound and get the $30 recirculation kit or make your own at home depot. Dont go with CAI. Just get the gpmoto silencer delete. Go with a TBE, Perrin DP, and like an HKS CB. CPU Upgrade also.
