Brian crower stories

I've heard good and bad stories about their parts for other cars but anyone on here have any issues with them or even use their products?

I personally know quite a few people running their full valve train or just the cams alone. No issues at all. The only thing is that there aren't true 272 cams compared to other 272 cams like GSC or Kelford. Samething with the 280s. However, from a reliability point, haven't heard of the bc stuff having issues. The ones that do have issues, probably didn't install them correctly.

So just use a different cam provider then? That's not bad. Yeah I was hearing stories from people who had cams snap on them so I was wondering how true that could be or was it user error.

Their cams give you the bad idle you want and none of the power that's supposed to go with it. And they have a history of cracking and not fitting properly. I've also heard shops tell tales of their valve springs not being consistent and killing engines. I don't know any examples of their springs personally.

A friend's shop refused to sell BC.

Good cams are GSC, Cosworth, and Kelford. I chose GSC because Kelford and Cosworth (made by Kelford) have had some reduced quality issues over the last few years. Stay away from Supertech valvetrains.

So what do recommend for valve springs and retainers. I've heard about GSC cans and nothing but good things about them!

GSC's valvetrain is supposed to be nice. I have Ferrea in my car. A little more pricey.

What setup are these going with?

Well eventually I would like to get some beadwork done with the striker kit but my friend has to replace cylinder 3 piston ring so he was looking around for some pistons and rods while he was in there and I recommended BC but he was saying that he thought they were all bad
