The XT line is DOPE.

Drop mike at GST a line and ask him what he thinks about them.

I am planning on using at 18g xt on my stroker build when it finally happens. Just waiting on my motor to give up. 189k and counting!

IMO the 18g will leave you wanting more. Unless you will be using E85 w/it. 20g-xt FTW...just my 2 cents.

Well actually my car is at gst right now and mike told me with the stock tmic on my sti the 18gxt would be best with my rebuild. He says it's the older 20g. He says the 18g-xt is a great turbo. Looks like I'll be going with the 18g-xt

Wait til you see it on the dyno. That thing is a BEAST. I was watching him tune an STI with one and I could not believe the spool up and the numbers. Drool.

You're lucky. I'm still debating a 2.5 swap but I think more than likely I'll end up with a 2.1 stroker and the 18gxt.

What numbers did you see ? Why the 2.1over the 2.5?

If I remember right it was in the 380 range. Mike will know... ask him about the black STI with the 18g.

As for me... I'm not sure I want to go the hybrid route and my goals are not crazy. I'd like 275-315 whp and similar torque. If I go 2.5 it will only be if I do a full longblock swap. Wouldn't reuse anything at all from my current motor.

Ok sounds like a really noob question and thats because i am a noob. I want to change out my stock turbo with a 20g but i dont know what kind to get. I was looking at a Blousch 20g Polka Pickle but people keep sayin it only shines on E-85 and its garbage on pump gas. Now im looking at a Garrett GT3076R twin scroll. I dog the hell outa the car and i only want to run 93 octane. what do yall suggest? my ending goal is between 450 -500 AWHP. Thanks

a 18g with 380whp on the gst dyno... no way this was on 91, that car had to be on e85 or race gas

Great I was sold on the 20g xt but I also have a huge top mount. So hopefully I will be ok. Let us know how it turns out.
