2011 WRX: Straight Pipe Quad Tip from MufflerTech
Hey all!
I went to MufflerTech located in Sacramento to get a quote on straight pipes.
Basically it's going to be 3" piping and is going to be straight pipe, y-pipe, and dual 3.5" circular tips on each side (Trying to achieve the Invidia Q300 look). He quoted me $265 for the piping and $160 for both tips.
Just on prior experience form people who have gotten straight pipes, am I getting a good deal or do you know of a shop that will do it for less?
oh and fyi, I AM trying to be obnoxiously loud
, so I know about what straight pipes do. ahaha
Thanks!

Lmao, what a copycat! You know exactly how loud it is huh, sounds like you can't resist after hearing mine! What Muffler Tech did you go to cuz i had mine done at the one off of Auburn Blvd. i believe for way less, but that's for just single straight pipe & reusing my stock STi tip awhile back. Yup, i love straight pipe, best exhaust imho. If i ever get another performance car, i'll probably straight pipe that sh*t too haha! My SRT-4 was straight piped out the driver side & was even louder! **** paying hella $ for a bigass shiny fart can muffler, simple is the way to go!

And I believe MufflerTech is a solid company that will have good welds, but I could be wrong.

Provide your own tips. If you can find them online it would be cheaper that way most likely.
something like this to be as close to stock as possible

Thanks for the input! But I want to get a complete catback with y-pipe so I can keep the stock look of a 2011 WRX. I have to buy (2) 3" inlet to dual 3.5" outlet for each side and he quoted me $65 for each tip. It's a whole different setup than the 04.

If you really want loud to begin with you'll hate the q300 its very quiet try an invidia n1 race it's loud and reasonably priced. But single exit.. Or get a cutout

Yeah I was set on getting the N1 Race for the longest time, but I love the quad look too much. And as far as I know, the Magnaflow is the loudest, and I don't like Magnaflow.
